GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PROCESSES OF MANUFACTURE OF BATTERIES
 
Elaboration of Grids
   

 
For this effect it is used as raw material to the antimonial lead that comes in ingots. These ingots are introduced in a crucible for their smelting and shipment for the matrices of the rejilladora machine, the pair of grids or panels.
   
Elaboration of Oxido de Plomo

In this part of process the pure lead is used. With this material the lead oxide makes that later, which will become material assets of the plate. The pure lead is introduced in a crucible of smelting for the elaboration of small cylindrical pieces, which are introduced later in a reactor where the lead oxide takes place.

 
 
The lead oxide is transported until storage silos. Later it happens to the machine of paste manufacture that in addition uses other insumos: where they make the positive and negative paste by blocks.
After a certain time of reaction, the paste acquires certain characteristics of density, consistency and penetration. This paste is deposited in the hopper of the empastadora machine later to adhere on the grids that finally happen through a drying tunnel. When leaving the tunnel, the plates (grids + paste), are piled up in the quarters of cured where they rest during 72 hours until completing the process of oxidation and cementation of the paste.

Formation

The positive and negative plates are rich in tanks of formation with diluted sulfuric acid electrolyte.

 
 
Drying of Plates
   

 
When leaving the plates formation process, are rinsed to eliminate the sulfuric acid plans. In the case of the negative plates, these are impregnated in a solution saturated of Boric and dried acid to the emptiness by the space of 12 hours. The positive plates are dried directly with hot air in a drying camera.
   
Assembled

The loaded plates dry are assembled within the boxes of batteries with separators among them.
